All proceeds benefit the new museum.

-----The Pictures of Seminole County----- Published in 1997  " The Pictures of Seminole County"  was undertaken as a special project for the Seminole Producer.  The 96 page book has 250 photographs depicting the early years of Seminole County, through the oil boom and even up to the sixties.  Many people have noticed the old photographs on the walls of our office and wanted to purchase copies from us. We hope this book will fill that need. People who grew up in Seminole County and have since moved away, always have a colorful story to tell after seeing the old pictures.  Other Seminole produced books, such as "Memories Shared" see below, tell those stories. This book will provide the photographs with a minimal description.   Although not many photographs from outside the Seminole city area were loaned to us, the process of choosing between all the pictures available was a hard task. We hope this was a well rounded project to preserve our county's visual history. Available from the Seminole Producer for $19.95
Sorry Sold Out,  Reprint is being planned.

Memories Shared by Seminole Story Tellers is a book about people and their perceptions: of boom and bust of mud roads and brick streets; of oil tycoons and vaudeville; of country doctors and teachers, even cops and robbers. It is a book about places and about events of which there is little trace left but through the memories of those who participated, observed and survived. These tales bring to life the old faded, cracked photographs stored in the attics of our homes and our minds. It does not pretend to be a factual history; that is recorded elsewhere. Instead these Seminole storytellers seek only to preserve the humanity of that history and to connect the previous generations with our own. They help us perceive the environment in which they lived and through  their observations we can truly begin to understand who we are and get a glimpse of where we are going. Memories Shared has been a community project led by the Seminole Public Library Trust and Sponsored, in large measure, by the Seminole Producer.  All proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit the trust. Available from the Seminole Library for $32.50 ISBN 0-89865-941-8
