Julia “Jean” Colwell, Seminole resident, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 in Seminole at the age of 88. Jean was born on September 30, 1935 in Seminole, OK to Ezra Melvin Colwell and Lydia Elizabeth (Bailey) Colwell.

Jean is survived by her son, Dwight Aarestad; one granddaughter, one grandson, one step-grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, 8 sisters and 2 brothers.

Viewing will be Monday, March 18, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK with Pastor Carl Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
